"A Winter Wonderland"
I just had to share these pictures with my friends. No, they were not taken here in the Sunshine State. I grew up in Indiana and Kentucky, and I always look forward to going back to see friends and family. One of the things we hope for on our annual Christmas trip is snow. Since we know this is the only chance our kids have to see the stuff, we really pray for a white vacation. This year we were not disappointed in the least. We had so much fun freezing to death. It had been 2 years since we had seen snow, and I got a little carried away with the camera. It was one of those snows where it stuck to the trees and sparkled. I drank in the beauty.
We even had a chance to go to a state park in Indiana that has a 1400 ft. of refrigerated toboggan track. The older 3 couldn't get enough of this. We even took Joseph down once--that is all he could handle. It is kind of like being shot out of a cannon. It dawned on me at the end of the track that he had never even been sledding; we really broke him in. He told me after we returned to Florida that he dreamed he was on that sled, and he did not like it. Well, if you are from the north, these photos might not mean much to you since you see it all winter long. We have returned to the sunny south, and it definitely is not snowing--but I do have my pictures to enjoy.

Where is this state park? We'll be in IN soon and that sounds like fun!
You really didn't take these here. So glad you had a white Christmas.
Love the picture of you and your sweetie in the snow. How romantic!
Wow! Beautiful winterland pictures....I needed a cup of hot cocoa just looking at them! I do believe that you have got great pictures for next years Christmas card...I can envision a winter collage!(smile) Great job! What park in IN did you go to? That sounds like a blast! Hope that you are having a blessed day!
I have had several people ask me about the location of the toboggan slide. It is in the northeast corner of Indiana at Pokagon State Park.
Don't know if you remember me, but I think we were in Marlene's wedding together, weren't we? And didn't you sing in a group for Kevin Moser once in our recording studio (Take One)? I enjoy reading your blog and just wanted to say hello. You have a precious family. Becca tells me what a dear friend you are to her.
BTW, I really loved your snow pictures! We don't get as much snow as I wish! I'd really miss it if I lived there! : )
Blessings!
Laura
I sure do miss the snow! Your pictures are very pretty. I remember "picking" icicles off the roof of our farm house in Penns Creek and licking them like popsicles. As children, we were never bored in the winter. We were always outside sledding, ice skating or making snowmen and forts.
Sherilyn, I just found you! I'll try to stay in touch a bit better this way! :o) Carol
You got to see snow. Yeah!!!
Beautiful snow pics!!
