Lydia celebrated her 8th birthday this week. This was her year for a family party. She had the privilege of sharing her special day with family that we rarely see that were in from CA for a wedding. We had such a nice time and we will be sharing lots more pictures later. Lydia poses with her flip-flop cake.
Matthew and Sophia with our 4 kids.
Lydia wanted a flip-flop cake. Thanks to internet instructions, we were able to make one together.
Make a wish!
Admiring her home-made cards.
Of course, we had to have some shoes for the party.
Julianna made Lydia a stuffed-animal purse.
She also received a camera. Her CA family gave her a cute watch. The next 2 pictures were taken today on her actual birthday after a piano recital.
More shoes--a lady can not have too many!
Lydia is a special gal. I know she had a wonderful birthday with her extended family.

Both the flip flop cake and the actual flip flops she received are adorable. So cute!! Love her dimples. I am a little partial to dimples myself, since both my boys have then and so do I. Happy birthday Lydia!
Happy Birthday to an adorable girl! Looks like a great party...the cake was TOO cute! She got to have her "flip flops" and eat them, TOO! Cool! :)
I love the flip-flop cake! I'm sure you both had fun making it! Happy birthday, Lydia!
