Hat Day

This is what my crew looked like when they left for school this morning. Today is Hat Day and we had fun putting together these silly ideas. I'm not sure if the teachers are productive in their teaching efforts on days like these. They probably just sit and laugh at each other. I know the kids enjoy this fun activity.

Julianna had a spaghetti theme. We even put real noodles on the top.

Samuel is a golfer. I sewed a plastic golf ball on the top. Doyle printed the words, "Hole in One" and we made a green for the golf ball.

Lydia is a Deputy. This hat makes me laugh. When I first saw it for a real cheap price, I knew I had to get it for my boys' cowboy theme bedroom. We personalized it for Lydia.

Joseph was not to be outdone. He came up with his own idea for hat day. We cracked up when he came into the room dressed like this. I am not sure what he is supposed to be--maybe a clown that had been swimming and decided to go to bed. He said that he was a cool dude.

The hats are adorable!! So very creative. I look forward to Patricia starting school. She gets so bored at home when the other children are in school. Great ideas for silly hat day!!

I was talking to someone on the phone while I was waiting in line and saw Julianna from a distance, I didn't realize it was her - too far away - but I said to my friend as I was laughing, "That's great! It's silly hat day at our kids school and I see a little girl with a colander on her head!" I had no idea about the spaghetti and other stuff, I thought that was such a cute and funny hat even from a distance - I would have really gotten a kick out of it if she were closer! All three hats were creative - it's a fun day for the kids.

The hats were neat ideas. I got to see pictures of my grandsons too. Ethan and Evan, Ethan had a balled hat with I believe they were Christmas ordement balls on the hat. Then Evan he had game pieces like a guitar, I think they came from Buckaroo Game. They were cute. The pictures are on Ruths 360 if you haven't already seen them. Thank you for sharing and have a blessed day. Love & Prayers, Eileen (Ruth's Mom)

Ethan begged me to let him wear a shoe on his head. Now I feel guilty for not letting him, didn't realize how much creativity is out there.

You failed to say "crazy" hat day. I was feeling a little sorry for your kids until I read Kayla's comment that it was "crazy" hat day:) Very cute and creative.

Katie is not convinced that Joseph isn't eating the frog. She keeps asking over and over why Joseph is eating the frog.

I enjoyed the pictures of your fall decorations and of your bathroom.

Sherilyn,
You're so creative. I sure could have used some help a couple weeks ago when my kids had to have costumes/posters for Heritage Day. The hats are great.
