"Our New Piano"

We decided to buy a new piano about a month ago. Our old one was beyond repairing, so we began the search. It was a major decision for us as a family. Whenever we make a big purchase, we do a lot of research before making it final. After we saw this piano, I called all over the country to salespeople who couldn't actually make a sale and asked their opinion. We made the decision to go with a digital white baby grand. I wanted something that served our needs as a piano and looked good as a piece of furniture. I know that some people say to only buy acoustic (hammer and strings), but we also realized there is so much you can do on a digital that you can not do on an acoustic. We were not buying it to resale, but to encourage our kids as they develop their musical talents. We are so happy with our choice. It has so many features including disks and an SD card to download. It does just about everything except mop the kitchen floor. Of course, I have that taken care of too. I can just tell the kids that they can't play the piano until the floor is mopped.

Here are the four kids with instruments--one crazy bunch.

I found Julianna playing and discovered that she had laid a track and then played it back adding another part. It is so neat seeing the kids experiencing with all of the possibilities.

Here Lydia used the headphones. This is a nice feature if I want to play the piano after the kids are gone to bed.

We feel so thankful to God for allowing us to have so much fun while learning new things on the piano.

Your piano is very pretty. We have thought about getting a digital piano.(We desperately need one)With 3 kids taking lessons there are just some days I don't feel like hearing practice for 11/2 hours-so the headphones would be nice on occasion.
Looking forward to seeing you all.

WOW! Now that is a beautiful piano...I bet that it will have hours and hours of lovely music played on it over the years! I am so very happy for you and your family! I would love to see you when you come to Greenfield...I think that my brother and sister-in-law are planning to attend that C.F.C. reunion. Maybe I can work something out!

Your piano is so nice. The church we attended in Michigan before moving down here, had a black one a lot like yours. It does so much. It is really great to be able to allow your children be able to the things they like to do in music.
I so enjoy music. I was in our High School Choir and Band. I played the trumpet. Actually I started playing it from the 4th grade through high school. I have played some at churches we attended. The problem was that I didn't have my own horn after I went into 8th grade. I could do so much until then because of my up bringing (long story). My father wouldn't let me have my horn, because I was moving with my Mom. So to have a Mother and Father that is interested in their children's music is very important.
I so wish my family was like you and your husband are. Keep up the good work and as you lead your little family close to the Lord. May God bless you in all that you do.
Thanks for sharing!

In my opinion, the headphones just might be the best feature! Just kidding, of course. I have a 4 or 5 octave keyboard that the kids love to "play" with and I always hand them the headphones. Of course, with all the talent you have in your home you don't need them! It's a beautiful piano! Congrats!

I'm just now getting around to seeing this post! Very pretty! You won't regret making this investment! The kids will enjoy learning a lot more on a piano like this.
